Our Made-to-Measure ProcessOur garment design and construction process goes through several stages, with client input at each stage ensuring client satisfaction with the complete product.Each bride meets Joanne in a complimentary consultation which is obligation-free, to discuss her vision for the perfect gown for the perfect day. At this stage the bride can bring in any pictures, sketches or ideas that they may have, and Joanne will discuss possible designs, fabrics and embellishments (such as beading and embroidery) for their gown. Joanne can recommend styles, fabrics and colours to suit the most elegant, sophisticated or simple gown. As each gown is individually made to a perfect fit, subsequent fittings are required to book the client in, measurements are taken, the design is drawn up and the pattern designed to specifically fit the client. We then go on to the 'toille' stage. The toille is a calico replica of the garment created to correct any shaping issues, and also works as a trial run, allowing the client to see the design on and make any changes. This gives our brides the freedom to make subtle changes such as necklines, sleeve shapes etc before materials. Each gown is then constructed and embellished by hand to ensure the finest quality. We have a range of fabrics and fabric samples in house and ensure that each bride has a unique gown with sourcing the finest laces, tulles and silks to help with the creation of the perfect individual gown. To compliment your dream gown we can also create a stunning matching veil and have a wonderful selection of bridal and fashion accessories available, including pre made and made-to-order jewellery, garment bags and bridal storage supplies. JK Couture designs is proud to provide a wide range of garment-related services, including: · Made to order Veil’s to match the perfect gown. · Groomsmen Accessories, Ties and vests coordinated with the Bridal Party. · An exclusive range of in-store jewellery, beautifully designed, or custom made-to-order for your specific garment needs; · Customised embroidery for formal wear, nametags, manchester, uniforms, and decorative costume etc; · Expert alterations and repairs for all garment styles, including but not limited to Wedding Dress Alterations, hems taken up, zip placement, patches and mending, size alterations for all styles including men's' and women's' Formal to Casual wear; · Drycleaning with same day* or overnight, inc. Bridal, formal, decorative and leather/suede garments; · Bridal and garment storage supplies: protective garment bags from Suit bags through to extra-long gusseted bridal bags, and packed bridal boxes with acid free paper; · Fascintators and hairclips for bridal parties, race-day events or the special occasion; · Sewing machine repairs and servicing from our certified mechanic. *Same day when order brought in before 9:30am, return around 4:00pm. Some Garments ie. Wedding Dresses have a two to three week turn around. We also offer a free portfolio available on CD (playable on DVD or Computer) which we can post on request. |
